Driver CPC is for LGV and PCV drivers who drive in the UK. It has evolved from the EU Directive 2003/59, which is in place to improve the knowledge and skills of professional drivers.
The legislation is split into two parts:

  • New LGV and PCV drivers must obtain the initial qualification alongside their vocational licence which enables them to use their licence professionally.
  • Existing LGV and PCV drivers must undertake periodic CPC training, which involves undertaking 35 hours of training every 5 years.
Driver CPC training came into force on 10th September 2008 for PCV drivers and the 10th September 2009 for LGV drivers.
With a variety of courses available and the option to train drivers at your premises or at venues nationwide, we've got solutions to suit you.
